I had the pleasure of working with Resonance, the Vancouver agency behind WorldCity to reimagine Kohanaiki — a private luxury community and club located in Kona, Hawaii. The aim was to capture the magic and an authentic sense of place for this stunning property set amidst spectacular hardened lava flows, Pacific Ocean and the majestic beauty of Mauna Kea.

The Creative Process
Crafting photography and film is more than creating a set of assets for me. It’s about bringing a place, experience, and people to life on the page or screen. My process starts with immersive conversations with the client, a site visit, and spending time just being in a place, feeling the life energy and the unique impression it makes on me. From there, I assemble a team that I know will bring their vision but also work collaboratively to deliver a unified vision. While on set I capture the moments with my iPhone; the crew, scenes — when all are working together to create the magic.
